Master of International Business Economics and Management

Now for a couple of extra words on my current education, which is likely to influence a lot of future blogposts here. As I mentioned below, I studied Law from 2004-2009, attaining both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. During the last two years, I specialised in European & International Law, and Private Law. I'm not going to give a full overview of those studies here, but if it might interest you I am happy to refer to my LinkedIn profile, which has all the relevant information.

After studying various subjects which were highly relevant to International Business during my Law studies at KUL, I decided to further broaden my horizon into the economical and managerial scope by attending the MIBEM program at the University College in Brussels (HUB), before entering the global job market. And that's where I'm at right now.

The program forms a combination of lectures from academia and hands-on experience from business professionals, which is thereafter put into practice through company visits, business games and a business week in London. It also improves cross-cultural management competences by means of various teamworks and projects, expanding professional skills and knowledge in order to launch a professional career. Last but not least, it's an international program which attracts students from various educational and cultural backgrounds. Working, studying and sharing experiences in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team is therefore crucial to success.

Both the international experiences as the learning material I've encountered (and still am) during this program often make for pretty interesting topics, which is one of the reasons I started this blog. A lot of the assignments, teamwork, company visits etc. have proven to be as enjoyable as they were instructive, so it can very well be of use to some of you who are contemplating to embark upon similar studies worldwide.

Although the second semester has already started, I plan on giving a short overview of the most remarkable events of the first semester somewhere in the near future.
